Warm colours, warm smiles and everything extra!

Nikki + Jordan wanted a wedding day that reflected the passions in their lives - family, friends, travel, Yorkshire, Asian food, brass music, dancing, laughing and love.

They met while teaching English in Vietnam, and have had many travel adventures together before embracing Yorkshire again.

With a touching and humorous love story, personalised vows and a handfasting ceremony, their Humanist wedding ceremony took place at The Hovels, on the Harewood Estate near Leeds.

Holding umbrellas in the air, a group of men and women form a bridal party. The bridesmaids are wearing burny umber dresses and the grooms men are wearing tweed suits.

With a warm palette of 1970s colours and truly OTT incredible flowers (that pampas grass! What a backdrop!) I blended in with my orange dress. The amazing flowers were created by Dottie at Hyde Park Flower Club and they were a work of art.

A smiling bride walks down the aisle escorted by her brother. She wears a white headband and carries a bouquet of orange lillies, roses, orchids and pampas grasses.

Nikki walked down the aisle to Dire Straits’ Walk of Life, a family favourite.

Nikki + Jordan read personal vows to each other, reflecting their love for each other and promises they really meant, as well as a few in jokes! They then exchanged wedding rings, ably supported by their best man Josh, who brandished the light up ring box with style and aplomb! Jordan had chosen Nikki’s favourite stone, Rose Quartz, for her engagement ring, and he proposed to her on an early morning lockdown walk.

Nikki + Jordan’s mums took part in a handfasting ceremony, each placing ribbons around the couples wrists symbolising the bond between them and the commitment they were making. Afterwards Nikki and Jordan tied the knot!

A small army of cool people helped make Nikki + Jordan’s day so fabulous!
